CLAW - CLIPPINGS

A Dalek's usual order to exterminate was replaced by a strange squeaking that would have baffled Doctor Who. Steve Petricco, boss of a science fiction theme bar in Manchester, heard the squeak coming from a full-size Dalek model when he arrived for work. He opened up the Dalek and was stunned to discover the bar's cat with four new-born kittens. Steve said: 'The Cat must have sneaked in. It was amazing when I found them. It must be the first Dalek ever to have kittens.' Metro London (free news paper.) 21/07/99

A woman gave birth on the living room carpet after her Tabby Cat pounced on her as she slept and triggered her contractions. Pamela McGowan, 22, had a rude awakening when four-year-old Topsy clawed her leg, and within 15 minutes baby Hannah had arrived. Boyfriend Nick Johnson, 34, helped deliver the 5lbs 10oz child at their home in Northampton, as ambulance staff gave instructions by phone. Miss McGowan said: 'I woke up with a jump and the next thing I was having labour pains. Metro London (free news paper.) 22/07/99

Note:

Due to the infrequecy of news-paper articles on cats only. (Plus our 'Tin Openers' don't buy them.) Starting from next Isssue Shoshonie will be taking over this collum. In it she will be looking at the world in general and how us Felines are represented in it. Both throughout History and Today
